GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:​

• Tutoring sessions run in English

• Minimum 30 minute ~ 2 hour weekly commitment

ROLES:

ACADEMIC SUBJECT TUTORS
Tutors must be able to teach the Korean school curriculum ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 8 materials (초1~중3).

Tutors will prepare for lessons in advance and walk through the Korean school curriculum with students in the students' native language while highlighting key concepts and vocabulary in Korean in order to help students both fully understand ideas and improve their Korean skills. Students and tutors should confirm which unit they will be working on before their lesson.

Students and teachers alike have the responsibility to respect one another during meetings. If a student displays inappropriate behavior during a meeting, tutors have the right to reject future meeting requests.

KOREAN LANGUAGE TUTORS

Tutors must be fluent in Korean reading, writing, and speaking. We are looking for people who can be enthusiastic and patient while working with children.

MENTORS
Those who have experiences such as adjusting to life in Korea after living abroad can serve as mentors for younger students going through such situations. The hope for mentors is to given students a support system through advice and casual discussions on emotional, social, or academic aspects of transitioning to a new life.
